About Dasom

Dasom Chung is a multifaceted artistic talent that does everything you can imagine. She has credits in choreography, dance instruction, project management, and leading music and dance groups. She is a singer, dancer, songwriter, and producer, and is trained in multiple styles of dance, as well as winning placements competitively in the partner dance scene.
Her most current projects are XChange, and AC&P Clubs Showcase. XChange is an original Kpop group by Berklee, in which she led the casting, choreography, rehearsals, and member integration, and supported production, recording, organization of moving parts, and fashion. Xchange comprises 4 very talented members that sing and dance, and has performed at various Berklee Kpop events. AC&P is Berklee's Asian Culture and Performance club, featured at Berklee's Clubs showcase at the Berklee Performance Center.
Dasom is a student currently attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA working towards a Bachelor of Music in Professional Music. Professional music covers material such as music entrepreneurship, music law, and music business, as well as other specialized topics and focuses. Dasom also has concentrations (minors) in Music Technology and Musical Theater Performance. She has successfully completed courses such as the Legal Aspects of the Music Industry with Professor Peter Dyson during her study abroad program in Valencia, Spain, and has guest lectured for Graduate level courses studying Global Industries of Music, on the topic of Kpop and the Kpop Industry in Korea. She has a current standing GPA of 3.9, is on the Dean’s List, and is a Thrive Scholarship Recipient at Berklee. She is currently working as an intern at Joe Bennett Music Services, a Forensic Musicology team based in Boston, MA.
Dasom is proficient in using music software such as Pro Tools and Logic Pro, both of which are Industry standard for music, as well as recording studio experience. She is proficient in piano, flute, & voice performance, and music composition, and has had her original works premiered at the Walden School as part of the Summer Concert Series in summer of 2015 as well as at CMU as part of the Composer’s Showcase in spring of 2017. She has successfully run Kpop performance groups globally including the USA (New York, California, Pennsylvania, Boston), Spain, and Korea, and is the founder of Berklee Valencia Kpop Club, in which she organized open classes, listening parties, and performance opportunities for the Berklee student body and Spanish community. She is also currently President of the Berklee Asian Culture and Performance club. In her free time she loves to read, cook, bake, journal, daydream, and sing and dance to her favorite songs!
